Bike Experience is back: our cycling event to help you (re)gain confidence in Brussels traffic

Good news: the Bike Experience project is back in 2026, from March to November

After a difficult year in 2025 and a forced break, we are delighted to relaunch Bike Experience, to help you feel more comfortable cycling in Brussels.

Bike Experience for everyone

Whether you are a beginner or already comfortable on a bike, Bike Experience offers two formats adapted to your level:

For those who have just learned to ride a bike and want to venture out into traffic for the first time.

For cyclists who already know how to ride but want to gain confidence and peace of mind in Brussels traffic.

Bike Experience is much more than just training: it is a support programme designed to remove barriers and encourage people to cycle on a daily basis.

A three-part event:

  • A theoretical session to understand the rules of the road for cyclists, share practical advice and analyse common situations in Brussels traffic.
  • A practical session in small groups on the streets of Brussels, accompanied by a trainer to practise in real-life conditions.
  • An informal get-together at the end of the session, with a free drink, to continue the discussion, ask questions and discover the possibilities of individual coaching with a volunteer.

🚲No bike?

You can loaned a bike free of charge for the training session, and even for up to two weeks on request, so you can continue practising after the session.

Season launch at Recyclart

The season kicks off at Recyclart, with the first training session organised on a Thursday afternoon. This daytime format is part of a key focus of the project for 2026: supporting the return to employment by facilitating the use of bicycles as an independent, economical and sustainable means of transport.
