What type of bike should I use for a bike trip? What equipment? Which tyres should I choose? What position should I adopt on my bike? What are the advantages and disadvantages of bags to redistribute weight? What budget do you need for a second-hand bike and to fix it up yourself or buy a new one? Les Ateliers de la rue Voot, the Maison du Vélo and Bike Your City will come and answer your questions with their expertise.

Where to sleep and eat? How do I plan my trip? What equipment should I bring? What clothes should I bring? Which routes should I choose? What budget?
Johanne, Bérénice, Sandrine, Marie-Hélène et Miel, female bike riders who have gone for it will come and exchange their experience with you to provide practical and concrete feedback. A sharing moment during which you can ask all of your question!
The evening will end with the projection of "Women don't cycle" in presence of Manon Brulard."

Organising a Low Cost Bike Ride
Wednesday 22 June from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Les Ateliers de la Rue Voot at VUB (40 Boulevard du Triomphe, 1160 Auderghem).
Pro Velo will give you all the best tips for a low budget bike ride: where can you homestay? What equipment is absolutely essential? What destinations are near you?
Les Ateliers de la Rue Voot will show you how to strip and restore a touring bike to get a bike that suits your budget while using quality salvaged materials.
Marc, a guide at Pro Velo and a big thrifty traveller, will present his tips to you through an account of his many bike trips in Europe.
The entrance fee is 5 euros.
